When should I use a boom pump instead of a line pump?+
Boom pumps are the right call for multi-story pours, elevated decks, large commercial foundations, and any site where the ready-mix truck can't get close enough to the placement area. Line pumps are better for tight residential access and smaller volumes.
Do you set up the boom pump before the ready-mix trucks arrive?+
Yes. We arrive ahead of schedule, set up, and are ready to pump when the first mixer pulls in. No crew sitting idle.
What slump do you need for a boom pump pour?+
A 4 to 6 inch slump works for most boom pump jobs. Stiffer or wetter mixes are fine too, just call us before pour day so we can talk through the mix design.
Are you fully insured?+
Yes, Croft carries general liability and workers compensation on every project. Concrete pumping is not a regulated trade in Florida so there is no contractor license to cite. Certificates of insurance are available on request before your pour, email office@croftconcrete.com.
Do you have a backup boom pump if your truck breaks down mid-pour?+
We operate one boom truck. For urgent redundancy, our line pump fleet can substitute when physically feasible, but the boom pump itself has no direct backup. For critical-path boom pours, book early so we can build cushion into the schedule.
